Spiced Apple Cider
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Orange
- 4 whole Clove
- 2 cups Apple Juice
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 3cm piece Fresh ginger
- 6 Cardamon pods
- pinch Ground nutmeg
- 3 cups Apple Cider
- 1 Red apple
- 10 Fresh mint leaves
- to serve Ice
Cut the orange in half and stud with cloves.
Place in a deep saucepan with the apple juice, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and nutmeg. Bring to the boil over medium-high heat. Set aside for 30 minutes to infuse.
Strain into a jug, discard spices and chill.
Add the cider to the chilled base, stir and pour into glass over thinly slice apple, torn mint leaves and ice.
